Our Vision

Our vision and prayer is to not only see the doors that God opens for us, but to also have the faith to step through those doors, and the strength to do the work prepared for us.

Welcome to Pine First Baptist Church Online

Church Steeple Image

Pine First Baptist Church was organized after a group of people from Pine had a desire to start a church in the Pine Community. With help from First Baptist Church of Franklinton this group was able to organize into a self-supporting church. PFBC was officially chartered in September of 1956 with 59 members.

Today PFBC Celebrates its 59th year of sharing God’s love and serving the community.

Today PFBC Celebrates its 60th year of sharing God’s love and serving the community. Its most notable was in 2005 after Hurricane Katrina devastated the parish PFBC served as a hub for relief efforts helping Pine and all the surrounding communities. PFBC continues serving its community and others by offering Ministries such as The Outdoor Expo and Wild Game Supper which touches all ages reaching them in a unique way and the Annual Women’s Conference which is in its 15th year. Both these ministries provide fellowship, God’s love, and the opportunity for PFBC to lead others to Christ.

Our services begin with Sunday school at 9:00 am and worship at 10:00 am. Wednesday night prayer services begin at 6:30 pm. If you are new to the area and are looking for a church home we believe we can be an encouragement to you and your family. We look forward to meeting you.

Duct Tape

Have you ever noticed that duct tape gets used for everything? Here in the south, we say that if duct tape wont fix something, you arent using enough of it. I have seen cars drive by with duct tape holding the bumper on. Nowadays we have wallets, purses and all sorts of things made of duct tape. It is great for everything except what it was designed for. It was originally made to connect and seal air ducts, but it didnt do a very good job of it.

The modern Church is a lot like duct tape. We are good at doing a lot of things. We can organize camps and vacation Bible schools. We put on great shows during our services. We have great Bible studies. All of these things are wonderful, but the purpose of the Church is to reach a lost world. We are called to carry out the great commission. We have spent so much time and money on doing these other things that the purpose of the Church has been neglected. Lets do something about this. When praying for your Church and its services, ask God to burden the hearts of His people to minister to the lost around them. My prayer today is that we wont be a "Duct Tape" Church.
